
OCCITANIA
In collaboration with Chef Paul Canales, we developed a comprehensive brand identity and launch strategy for Occitania, his new Oakland restaurant inspired by regional southern French cuisine. The challenge was to capture Chef Canales' unique vision, which embraced the interplay of various juxtopositions like light and shadow, rusticity and refinement, and spontaneity and methodology. We crafted a visual identity that embodied these concepts, and developed a range of visual touchpoints. This included collateral design, website design, digital design, and art direction for photoshoots. In addition, we provided a comprehensive public relations launch strategy. The resulting identity and touchpoints work in harmony to illustrate the guest experience at Occitania, promising to awaken and enchant the senses. The launch strategy ensured a successful debut, establishing a strong presence in the Bay Area culinary scene.
